The OZEV Workplace Charge Scheme is the headline grant for UK commercial EV charging. We're an authorised installer and handle the application end to end. There are other funding routes too - here's the full picture.
OZEV Workplace Charge Scheme (WCS)
- £350 per socket (not per charger - a dual-socket unit counts as 2).
- Up to 40 sockets per applicant. Maximum grant £14,000.
- Eligible: UK-registered businesses, charities, public-sector bodies.
- Off-street parking, used by staff or fleet (not customer-facing).
- Must be installed by an OZEV-authorised installer (we are).
- Voucher valid 6 months from issue.
EV Infrastructure Grant for Staff and Fleets
For small-to-medium businesses needing more bays than they currently need chargers. Covers up to 75% of the cost of supply upgrades and future-proofing (wiring + parking infrastructure), capped at £15,000.
Super-deduction / Full expensing
EV chargers installed by UK companies qualify for full expensing on the unit and installation costs in year one - subject to your accountant's review of current HMRC guidance.
Local authority grants
Some local authorities (TfL, West Midlands Combined Authority, Edinburgh City Council) run additional grant schemes - we flag these during the survey if your postcode qualifies.
